Analog synth drones, dancy bit crunched drums, crunchy melodies all with an experimental touch make ARP dc a unique electrifying listening experience. Influences include: Kraftwerk, Dan Deacon, LCD Sound System, M83, Justice and The Beatles for good measure.
ARP dc started in the summer of 2008. Spencer Gray began writing and recording analog synth heavy music as a side project which evolved into something more serious with about an albums worth of material. Other musicians including Patrick Moore (Aviary Ghost, Sanka's Redemption) and Josh Marrow (Impure Jazz, Officer Deaf) have been collaborating on the project as well. Gray began preforming sets live in Summer 2009 as well as releasing ARP dc's first single "Octave Knob" online.
