Church of the Week
Experimental Hardcore band, influenced by a diverse set of genres that include metal, rock, blues, jazz, and more.
Here's the story: In the fall of 2005 Ben (Morgan, bass) and Martin (St. John, guitar) met through a mutual friend. Both had played in bands in the recent past (none of which will be mentioned here), and both were eager to start something up. They started playing together in September of 2005. Church of the Week was conceived shortly after. Nick (Reeves, drums) and Danny (Soper, vocals) were playing in a fairly well-known grind/noise band called Life in a Body Bag during this time. Fortunatley they disbanded in early 2006 for personal reasons. Nick and Ben had already met through mutual friends in the summer of 2005, and had talked about starting a band from that time on. Now the opportunity was afforded. Nick joined the Church in late May of 2006. When the need for a vocalist presented itself, the solution was obvious... Danny joined the Church in early June of 2006. So now you know the story... and you were the first one to know. You got into us long before those lame poser kids on your street ever heard of us. Congratulations to you. You're so awesome. I wish I was you... you sheep. -Church of the Week http://www.geocities.com/nadacult/sheep600.gif
