Ryan Cook, a prolific songwriter, has been likened to artists such as Leo Kottke and Martin Sexton. According to 93.1 FM WNOU Indianapolis, “[his] voice, backed by a significant amount of soul,” creates music that is “not the trite sort of love songs that the pop market is saturated with today.”
Julian Sundby’s fresh piano style is creative and unorthodox. Before turning his compositional and performing talents to the band, he recorded an original jazz album with local Indianapolis legends Kenny Phelps and Frank Smith.
Matt Everhart, an aggressive 6-string bassist provides a solid foundation for the band. An ‘02 UNC school of Music alum, he has performed with bands such as North Carolina’s Snake Oil Medicine Show and local Bloomington, IN songtresses Carrie Newcomer and Krista Detor.
Chris Spann, a talented and versatile drummer, is currently studying at the IU School of Music under L.A. pro Steve Houghton. His Carter Beauford style of drumming is tasteful, coupled with a jazz flair that borders on virtuosity.
