Rock/Pop. Influenced by Coldplay, U2, Keane, Radiohead, etc.
Singer/songwriter Scott Stofko was born and raised in the midwestern states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana where he was introduced to a multitude of musical styles. At age 11 he became a student of piano and shortly thereafter picked up his first guitar and immediately began writing songs. His early influences ranged from the blues of B.B King and Buddy Guy to the alternative rock of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and U2. Soon he surrounded himself with the rock bands that he has fronted for the last decade. Taking a break from the band concept and on a whim of songwriting inspiration he began his solo project, fusing his rock influences with acoustic/pop overtones resulting in the release of his 2006 demo cd. The passionate lyrics found in Scott Stofko's songs are contained in equally passionate and infectious music that captivates the listener and welcomes them into a world where joy and pain, love and sorrow, mystery and reality, and rock and pop are all intertwined with melodies that leaves the listener singing along to the songs well after they have stopped playing.
