Dem Biddles music is a shot of traditional style country and honky-tonk, chased with a splash of Americana. It's good ole hand clappin' and toe tappin' music. We're just tryin' to keep the twang alive!
Shirtless Biddles are a sometimes rowdy, sometimes lonesome sounding traditional country/honky-tonk band from Indianapolis, Indiana. Founded by life-long friends Brad Powers (vocals, guitar) and Randall Sharkey (banjo) and rounded out by a few of their closest pals: Bobby Jenkins (steel, dobro, guitar, mandolin, vocals), Brandon Lytle (bass) and Craig Stinson (fiddle), Shirtless Biddles is a group focused on keeping the twang alive and well in a world where main-stream music has almost abandoned it all together. The band draws influence from a wide range of sources from Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, Bob Wills, Jim Lauderdale, Wayne Hancock, Hank III, James Hand and Ray Price...to more surprising and less noticeable inspirations in Morphine, Huffamoose, Led Zeppelin and Jerry Garcia. Even though you will here hear a cover or two at a standard Biddles show...the group is very serious about being an original band. Their original compositions cover an array of themes like lovin', losin', and thinkin'...tand leavin', missin' and drinkin' mixed in with a few bio tunes about some folks that are real and some that aren't so real.
